Privacy Policy

Kind of a Big Dill LLC is a one-person engineering company. I collect what I need to answer your request and do the work, and nothing else. I do not sell your information. Last updated October 29, 2026.

What I collect

When you send a request or RFQ: your name, email, and anything you choose to add, such as company, phone, project details, budget, timeline, and files like drawings or photos.

When we work together: notes from our meetings and discovery sessions, the information you share about your business and processes, and the files and records needed to deliver the project.

When you use the free tools: nothing. The calculators run in your browser and save your last inputs on your own device only.

I do not use advertising trackers or sell data to anyone. The site uses no advertising cookies.

How I use it

  • To reply to you and send quotes, recaps and project files.
  • To plan, track and deliver the work you hired me for.
  • To keep business records, such as invoices, as the law requires.

I do not use your project information or files for anyone else, and I do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Who it is shared with

Only the services that run the site and the business, and only for that purpose:

  • Vercel hosts the website and stores uploaded files.
  • Resend sends email from the site.
  • Google (Gmail and Drive) holds my email and project documents.
  • Linear tracks requests and tasks.
  • Manufacturing partners receive drawings and specs only when a job needs them made, and only what that job needs. If you are under NDA, they are too.

The merch store at shop.kindofabigdill.com runs on Shopify and follows Shopify's own privacy policy.

Google account access

Some of my own business tools connect to my Google Drive so they can save project documents there. That access uses the narrowest Google permission available (drive.file): the app can only see and create files it made itself. It never reads anything else in Drive, and it is only connected to my own account. Data from Google APIs is used only to save and open those project documents and is not shared, sold or used for ads.

How long I keep it

Requests that do not turn into work are deleted within two years. Project files and records are kept as long as they are useful to you or needed for tax and warranty records, then deleted.

Your choices

Email bigdillengineering@gmail.com to see what I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. I reply within 2 business days.
